We ran healthcare staffing programs for 16 years before we wrote a line of this platform.

Our Story: From Hospital Hallways to a Healthcare Workforce Platform

LaborStack's story began long before its May 2025 launch. Over 16 years ago, founders Jon Chesnik and Jason Casani managed healthcare staffing nationwide.

Originally from tech staffing, Jon's personal experience during a family member's cancer treatment shifted their careers. Surrounded by clinicians, it was clear: healthcare needed better, faster, more reliable staffing. Both brought their technology expertise to a sector that lacked it — and found manual, state-by-state compliance tracking and error-prone, expensive billing and reconciliation.

Jason Casani

Jason Casani is a healthcare workforce executive and technology entrepreneur who is the co-founder of LaborStack. He has shaped the company's strategy, platform vision, and operational approach in healthcare contingent labor management. Casani began his career at TEKsystems, where he held leadership responsibility across business operations, sales, and delivery. In 2009, he co-founded Stability HealthCare, where he serves as CEO, and later co-founded Stability Technology Partners in 2011.

Jon Chesnik is the co-founder and COO of LaborStack. For Chesnik, LaborStack is the result of years spent operating at the intersection of healthcare staffing and proprietary technology, with a mission to reduce friction, increase speed, improve outcomes, and lower costs for every stakeholder in the staffing lifecycle. Before co-founding LaborStack, Chesnik built his career across technology staffing, recruitment operations, and healthcare workforce management, including roles at TEKsystems and Emerald Health Services before co-founding Stability Healthcare.
